Panoramic
Summary of the Bible
*An Excellent Tool for Treasure Hunting*
*A Unique and Valuable Gift*
*Appropriate for All Ages*
"We are happy to report that the Panoramic Summary of the Bible has
been a best-seller for a few years now in our Creation Museum's stores.
It's trustworthy history chart provides an excellent outline for
studying books of
the Bible. Furthermore, a panel that presents a summary of the
days of Creation is a wonderful teaching aid in helping people remember
the first week of history. Also, its compact size makes it easy
to slip in a Bible cover or in a shirt pocket. We congratulate
our ministry friend, Randall Barajas, for a best-selling resource at
the Creation Museum."

*God's Word is...and leads us to...
the greatest treasures in all the world!
In [Christ] are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Colossians 2:2-3
*Nowhere else can you learn the true origin of the earth and all of the life it contains.
*Nowhere else can you discover the real purpose of your own life and find lasting joy and fulfillment.
*Nowhere else will you find such relevant wisdom and understanding for everyday life.
*Nowhere else can you acquire so much knowledge about what will happen in the future.
*Nowhere else will you be shown how to be reconciled
to God so you can live in harmony with Him forever.
The more we know God's Word,
the more we learn to treasure it.
The
Panoramic
Summary is colorfully printed and accordion folds into
a pocket-sized
card. When the 14 panels are completely folded, it measures
3-3/4" tall x 2-3/4" wide x 1/4" thick and slips into a protective
vinyl pocket. When it is unfolded, the Panoramic Summary
measures 3-3/4" tall x 38-3/4" wide.
The Panoramic Summary of the Bible is an excellent tool to assist you in your study of God's Word.
One
side presents a timeline as a visual aid. It contains time
periods, major
events and prominent people. This proportionate timeline is
based
on the extensive research conducted by Archbishop James Ussher
(1581-1656). Ussher's primary and authoritative source was
the
Holy Bible.
The first panel of the timeline notes the first week
with six 24-hour days of creation followed by a 24-hour day of rest.
The years begin
with 4004 BC and continue until 100AD with the completion of the
writing of the Bible. The main focus of lineage shows the
blood
and legal lines of Jesus Christ.
The
colored lines near the top show
the names of each descendant, the year of his birth, the number of
years he lived, his age when the noted son was born, and the year he
died. Note that Adam's line starts as a dashed line since
Adam
was created as a full-grown man.
The
bars at the bottom represent the sections of Scripture describing that
time period. Many of the prophets overlap similar time
periods.
The white vertical lines are placed to quickly see
the
four millennia.
A Biblical timeline...
...enables you to see the big picture of what God has done throughout history.
Clearly seeing the big picture...
...makes a seemingly large and complex book purposeful, understandable and intriguing.
...places each event into the historical context of the other events recorded in the Bible.
...gives a deeper and fuller understanding of the content of every verse.
...reveals the evidence that the young age of the earth can be derived using the Scriptures.
...encourages students of all ages to dig further
for the treasures in God's Word, understanding there is a
significant purpose for every part.
...inspires an appetite to know the God who is in charge of it all and for whose glory it all exists!
The
other side of the Panoramic Summary gives a visual layout of the entire
Bible. Each book is listed in biblical order, showing the
number
of chapters that each book contains. Each chapter is summarized in a few key words as a reminder of the content of that
chapter.
A chapter-by-chapter summary...
...gives a contextual overview of the content of the entire Bible.
...helps to quickly find a particular passage in the Bible when the reference is unknown.
...makes it easier to compare Scripture to Scripture.
...allows the student to quickly familiarize himself with the length and content of a specific book of the Bible.
...assists in taking into account the whole counsel of God's Word.
...helps to see how one part relates to other parts of the Bible.
...motivates a student to dig further on a particular subject.
This side of the Panoramic Summary also includes the
text from
Romans 10:13.
"For whosoever shall call upon the
name
of the Lord shall be saved."
As
mentioned on our
Home Page, this verse, posted on a sign,
was instrumental in
my
coming to the Lord.
Creative Learning
with Your Panoramic Summary of the Bible
Young children
can grasp the idea of a timeline with a simple explanation of,
"This happened first, then this." Everything they learn about the
Bible will be more meaningful when taught in the context of what
they have heard previously.
It is important to make it a habit with our children to refer regularly
to God's Word with questions or concerns that arise throughout the day.
Use your Panoramic Summary to assist you in this endeavor at
times when you are away from home and may not have your Bible readily
available.
Use as a portable,
non-electronic reference for key word search, spelling verification or
memorizing the names of the Books of the Bible in order.
In your daily study,
especially with your family, look up the timeframe in which the
writing or events occurred. Make your study times joyful and
interesting.
Make a family project or a study project for an older student out of
calculating the years listed in the genealogies to understand how
Ussher determined the age of the earth.
It assists in making a quick outline for study of a particular book.
Research Ussher's
Annals of the World and read about various Biblical or secular events.
Look on your timeline to find when these would have ocurred
and find out what else was happening during, before or after this event.
Invent learning games to play with your children at home or while
traveling in the car. Who can find the event on their timeline
first? In which book would you find...? What happened
around the year....? Bible Baseball... Tic Tac Know...
Review while waiting in line or in a waiting room for constructive use of your time and a possible conversation starter.
Give as a gift or
reward to family members, friends, church members, Bible study group
members, students, VBS participants, campers, etc.
Use in your church, ministry, bookstore, school, home education, camp, mission organization, etc.
Give as a gift to
someone to whom you are witnesing, especially helping them to
understand the reality of God in true history vs. naturalism and
evolution over millions of years.

We pray that God would allow
this
Panoramic Summary to be used
as a witnessing tool to bring others to
know Him and that it would equip, strengthen and encourage believers as we study, meditate upon and live God's Word. May
God
use it to continue to reveal Himself through His Word as trustworthy and faithful.
